## BOM & Repo Requirements

See [submission guidelines](/docs/submitting) first.

### Do I include shipping in the BOM?
Yes.

### How do I list 3D-printed parts / filament?
Include them at their per-part material cost (pro-rated from a spool is fine).

### I already own a part — what do I put?
Include it at its actual price for reproducibility and leave a note in the BOM.

### Can I buy parts myself and get reimbursed later?
This is decided on a case-by-case basis. Please ask in [#fabricate](https://hackclub.enterprise.slack.com/archives/C0ATWSPM22J) before you make any purchases as some things you buy may not get approved or your whole project may not be eligible for Fabricate. If you're in India, we cannot offer reimbursements at all due to very high fees.

### What CAD files do you accept?
.step plus source file — .f3d, .f3z, .FCStd, or a public Onshape link.
Blender does not count as CAD.

### Do I need firmware to ship my design?
Yes. If firmware is expected in the final build, it must be present for design ship. It can be minimal, but it must be a good-faith attempt that actually tries to work.

### My file is over 25 MB and GitHub refuses it.
Use Git LFS. Files not in the repo aren't real. Only exception: a public, working Onshape link.

### EasyEDA: is .eprj + gerbers enough for the PCB source file requirement?
Yes.

### Can I put LCSC links in my BOM even though LCSC shipping to my country is expensive?
No. BOM links must point to vendors that actually work for you. You're the one building the project.

### How will I get my 3D printed parts?
Through **Printing Legion!** It's an international network of Hack Clubbers 3D printing for each other! Check out [their website](https://printlegion.hackclub.com/)
